ABOUT
Child Advocate—Global Citizen and Investor—Nature Aficionado—Bilingual
Joshua was born in Thousand Oaks, CA. Joshua and his wife Amelia have three children. His eldest son enjoys reading, reptiles (because they look like dragons), and learning how things work. His daughter loves ballet, the color pink, and violin. His youngest son loves destruction, stomping, and singing at the top of his little lungs. His wife is an accomplished photographer and business owner—running Mae Woven and doing various projects for companies such as Nordstrom, Alaska Air, Procter and Gamble, etc.
Joshua is passionate about education, economics, and giving back. He was a top performer in economics in both CA and at University. Joshua attended graduate school and received his MBA in Financial Planning. He currently serves as the President of the board for the Children’s Justice Center’s 501(c)(3). Previously, his volunteer experience included Vice President of a branch of Kiwanis International, volunteer as a Spanish linguist for United States Naval Mobile Construction Group, and Committee Member at Primary Children’s Hospital. Joshua has also volunteered for the Diversity Scholarship Review Panel 2020. The scholarship for Increased Diversity in Financial Planning provides financial assistance to qualified African American/Black candidates for CFP® certification.
Joshua can’t say enough good things about his partner and brother- Roy Jones. Roy purchased Joshua’s first car with his student loan funds (a ‘77 Chrysler Newport), signed him up for University, and helped him launch his business. He and Joshua founded Everspire in 2006 as a completely independent firm committed to the fiduciary standard. This ethic has shaped the company’s culture, performance, attitudes, and partnerships.
